Nothing is Linear.

Therapy doesn't have to feel clinical, awkward, or like you're being analyzed under a microscope. My office is a place where you can show up exactly as you are—messy, anxious, grieving, angry, overwhelmed, hopeful...or all of the above.
My style is laid back, collaborative, and real. I probably won't be wearing a blazer (hoodies are much more my speed), and there's a decent chance you'll hear me swear. I believe laughter belongs in therapy just as much as tears do, because healing isn't all heavy all the time.
Underneath the relaxed vibe is a lot of training. As a trauma-trained therapist, I pull from trauma-informed therapies, person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), narrative therapy, psychoeducation, and creative interventions—including art—when they fit. Every client is different, so therapy shouldn't feel like it's coming from a one-size-fits-all manual.
The areas I'm most passionate about are trauma, grief, chronic illness, medical trauma, and medical advocacy. If you've ever felt dismissed, unheard, or exhausted by the healthcare system, you're not alone. I'll gladly help you organize your questions, find your voice, and advocate for the care you deserve—because sometimes healing also means having someone in your corner.
I don't see therapy as an expert telling you how to live your life. I see it as two people working together. I don't have all the answers. You're the expert on your life. My job is to bring curiosity, compassion, a healthy amount of honesty, and the tools to help you make sense of what's happened, understand how it's affecting you now, and create more choice moving forward.
I'll normalize the hell out of being human, hold space for the really hard stuff, celebrate your wins (even the tiny ones), gently call you out when needed, and remind you that surviving isn't the same thing as living.
My goal isn't to "fix" you, because I don't believe you're broken. It's to help you understand yourself, build the tools you need, and reclaim the ability to choose how you want to move through your life.
I earned my Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Oregon. Over the past five years, I've had the privilege of walking alongside clients through some of life's hardest moments—and in the process, I've grown just as much as a clinician as I have as a person.
While my degree gave me the foundation to do this work, I don't believe learning stops at graduation. In fact, I think the best therapists are lifelong learners. I'm constantly seeking out new trainings, research, and perspectives so I can continue providing the highest quality care to the people who trust me with their stories.
I've listed some of the specialized trainings I've completed over the past several years. They represent my commitment to staying curious, expanding my skills, and bringing the most current, effective, and compassionate approaches into the therapy room.
